Call for Nevada Native Artists.

Making a connection between Native Lands and National Trails is a priority for the BLM. AIANTA’s mission is to promote tribal tourism. Together we want to tell a more inclusive story of the ancestral lands along the California Trail and the impact it had on the Native people in Nevada. Looking for an artist to highlight the history and the current cultural connections tribes have to this vast and beautiful landscape this trail traverses in a new re-visioned poster.

The selected artist will be awarded $2000 commission and paid travel to an event TBD in Nevada in 2024 where the poster will be unveiled, displayed, and celebrated by partners, tribes, and the public. The poster will be printed and promoted online for outreach, education, and as promotional material for tribes and partners. The artist will receive AIANTA Individual Membership for a year and be featured on social media and other promotions.
