Note: This event will be NOT be held at the Trail Center. it will be near Eureka, Nevada.
Join NOS and the California Trail Center for a community pine-nut gathering event held in the Pinyon groves outside Eureka. Participants will learn all about the Pinyon Pine and its historical uses while gathering its delicious and nutritious edible seed (nut) to take home with them. While some supplies will be provided, participants are encouraged to bring their own heavy-duty rake, gathering sack, gloves and food/water. Group will meet at the Eureka Fairgrounds at 10am before departing for the Pinyon groves.
