DESCRIPTION:In order to better serve our visitors and deliver more focused 
 programming\, we are now asking that attendees RSVP for scheduled programs

 04.html\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nCome and join BLM park ranger Gina at The California
  Trail Center for an adult power-point program and a pack your wagon booth
 /tabletop display in the South Fork Room. Immigrants who traveled the Cali
 fornia Trail packed up their life belongings into covered wagons and trave
 led 2\,000 miles to California. Visitors will learn what the early pioneer
 s packed on their journey west. Visitors will be able to differentiate bet
 ween items that were considered essential and non-essential in their wagon
 s on their journey west. (Adults and children welcome) Activity: Following
  the presentation\, a fun-filled arts and crafts activity for children wil
 l be offered titled “Make Your Own Wagon" An arts and craft activity for
  children will be offered of making their own paper wagons. The covered wa
 gon\, an iconic image of the westward migration\, carried the supplies tha
 t were necessary and stood witness to the hardships and successes of life 
 on the California Trail.
