Due to a landscape dominated by seas of sagebrush, juniper and pine, much of the high-desert remains green year-round. Yet it is viewed as a largely inhospitable winter hinterland… unless of course you were built to endure this kind of weather. Join us as we learn about the plants, animals, and people uniquely adapted to survive and thrive in the harsh high-desert environment of northern Nevada.

There will be a landscape painting activity following the presentation.
