Join Nevada Outdoor School Program Coordinator Nick La Palm and learn about the importance of fire-making on the California Trail, a look at the tools used, and a demonstration on starting a fire using flint and steel, utilizing techniques from the American frontier. Participants will then have the opportunity to cook and enjoy s’mores over the fire they helped build.
